products i love

I often get asked which food brands and general products I recommend for mama + baby during pregnancy and postpartum, and now since my little one has started solids. These are my favourite items that are tried and tested, are natural, good for the environment and healthy for the whole family. This is not sponsored, but simply a list of things I have found genuinely helpful and that may save you time!

For pregnancy

WELEDA BELLY OIL

Prevents stretch marks, feels and smells so beautiful. It’s also a beautiful way to get Dad involved and bonding with baby.

KOJA HEALTH BARS

Eating high fat, high protein snacks is so important in pregnancy and postpartum, and I love these little bars that are delicious, nutritious and use good quality ingredients.

Enter MAMAANDME15 for a 15% discount on the entire Koja range, one use per customer.

SEAWEED SNACKS

Seaweed is a great source of iodine, an essential mineral for pregnancy related to growth.

HERBAL TEA BY LOVE TEA OFFICIAL

This is a beautiful tea brand of which I have many favourites. Drinking raspberry leaf tea in the final few weeks of pregnancy can prepare the uterus for birth and beyond.

THE FERMENTARY SAUERKRAUT

Consuming a diverse range of probiotic rich foods like sauerkraut is beneficial for your gut bacteria which has roles in immune health, regulating mood and inflammation. I love the ethos of this brand and their delicious range, particularly the smokey jalapeño!

For postpartum

TOMS MATERNITY PADS

Comfy and no nasties, you will need quite a few packs post birth

Enter TOMWELCOME15 for a 15% discount off all new TOM organic subscriptions here

BIMBY AND ROY BRALETTES

Such soft and beautiful bras, these are great for pregnancy, labour (you can wear in the water) and postpartum particularly as they are wire free with easy breastfeeding access.

SPECTRA S1 or S2 BREAST PUMP

I tried 3 different breast pumps but this was by far the best and gave the most milk!

FRANCIS AND HENRY NURSING NIGHTY

Although an investment, you just live in these while feeding so much in those early weeks/months. They are so super soft and pull down easy for breastfeeding and skin to skin snuggles.

EPSOM SALT BATH

Soaking in magnesium chloride flakes bypasses the gut and is readily taken up by our body’s largest organ, our skin. Amazing for after birth, stress, muscle soreness and aiding sleep. Use 1-2 cups in a warm bath before bed for best results.

MAGNESIUM OIL

Amazing to apply directly onto sore muscles eg neck tension or period cramping. The magnesium absorbs topically at the site and when applied after an epsom salt bath is so so relaxing!

For baby

WELEDA NAPPY RASH CREAM

This one is thick, calming and so gentle on baby’s bottom.

Enter MAMAANDME for a 15% discount on all Weleda products (excludes sets and packs).

NAPPIES

Tooshies by Tom and Ecooriginals are two disposable nappy brands that are both gentle for baby's sensitive skin, and the planet. If you are up for trying reusable nappies (saves money and less landfill!) then Hippybottomus were our favourite!

WELEDA TEETHING POWDER

My bub really suffers with teething and this powder has definitely helped calm inflammation. It is an all natural, homeopathic product and the whole baby range from this brand has no nasties and is so gentle.

BABY CARRIERS

Ergobaby | Solly Baby | Zarparbebe

My favourite baby product and most used item! I rotated using these 3 carriers and still put Arlo in the Ergobaby from time to time at 14 months old. These range from supportive to unstructured and I adored them all, but mostly it is personal preference.

starting solids

WEANMEISTER STORAGE FOOD PODS

A lifesaver for leftover meals, and are a great portion size for starting solids. You can also use them to bake little muffins or frittatas in.

BIBADO BIBS

Covers bub really well and collects food so you don’t have to!

SINCHIES FOOD POUCHES

Reusable food pouches so you know exactly what goes in. I freeze a batch and simply defrost in a warm bowl of water when I know I will be feeding on the run.

SUBO FOOD BOTTLE

Such an easy option for on the run meals or snacks, this bottle allows bub to feed themselves too. I use it mainly for smoothies, but thick liquids like yogurt or chia seed pudding or pureed veg are also ideal.

BOTANICAL CUISINE PLANT BASED CHEESES

This company make a wide range of delicious macadamia and cashew cheeses which are ideal to feed baby as they are a great source of healthy fats, smooth in texture and introduce an array of flavours. The mushroom is our fave!

BITE ME FALAFELS/PATTIES/FRITTERS

Soft little patties full of organic and healthy ingredients for baby to eat whole or broken into soups. Great on the run.
